Student Route
In this article, we will talk about the student visa to study in the UK.
The United Kingdom has a large number of successful and globally ranked universities, making it a popular destination for international students. So what can we do to come to the UK as a student.
First of all, I must say that there are 3 types of student visas.
1 ) Student Route (General student) Visa
This is a visa for students over the age of 16 who are accepted to attend a course at an accredited educational institution in the UK.
2 ) Student Route (Child student) Visa
This visa is available to students aged between 4 and 17 who agree to attend a course at an accredited educational institution in the UK (such as an independent fee-paying school) with a legal student route sponsor.
3 ) Short-Term Study Visa (Tourist visa for educational purposes)
It is suitable for students who are offered to participate in a short-term course, such as a training program or an English language course.
✓ To be eligible for a Student route , you must meet the following requirements
✓ Have an unconditional offer from a legal student route sponsor to enroll in a program.
✓ Have financial proof that you can finance and pay your course fees.
✓ English proficiency.
Obtaining a CAS from the school you plan to study at in the UK is key for this visa. It is a good option to contact your education advisor for this.
What can I do with the visa?
✓ You can extend your student visa
✓ You can change and extend your student route
✓ You can switch your visa to Graduate visa
Cost
✓ Visa costs £490 per person.
✓ Visa change and extension fee is also £490 per person.
✓ From 1st January 2024 onwards, your spouse and children can come with you on this visa if the following conditions are met.
✓ If you are enrolled to
PhD program (RQF level 8)
Research Program
You have the burden of proving your relationship with your spouse and that the child is yours. Each of them must have their own money.
How much money they will need depends on where you will be studying.
✓ £845 per month for courses in London (up to 9 months)
✓ £680 per month (up to 9 months) for courses outside London
If you are applying at the same time as your spouse or child (applying together as a family), you will need to prove that you have both the money to pay for your course and support yourself, and additional money for each of them.
If your spouse or child is applying at a different time to you (if they are applying separately), they will only need to prove that they have enough money to support themselves.
It is important to remember that hiring an immigration expert will be an important decision for you in order to avoid wasting time, money and missing out on a periodic program such as education.
